4. A Grandma Ewe Saves Her Life
And old grandmother ewe one day
Was sure she would explode
In terror as she watched a wolf
Come ambling down her road.
She froze in fear, she could not speak,
She thought she was undone!
But wolf did not feel hungry so
He thought he'd just have fun.
Hey, Grandma, would you save your life?
He said,
Come clean with me:
Tell me three feelings that you
have
When noble wolves you see.
.
So grandma said,
Well, honestly,
One feeling that comes through
Is loathing that there are such
brutes
As hideous as you.
And 2nd, I'd feel good if wolves
Were quickly all struck blind!
Then 3rd. . .were slaughtered one and all
For bullying our kind.
The wolf could not believe his ears
To hear things so uncouth,
But had to let that grandma go
Because she'd told the truth.
MORAL: Speaking the truth can work wonders.
