28. The Foolhardy Shepherd Rears Wolf Cubs
O, look how cute!
a shepherd said
When he found wolf cubs fast asleep,
I'll take them home and teach them love
And they'll grow up to guard my sheep.
So he picked up those baby
wolves
And brought them home to show
his wife,
They're wolves!
she screamed.
Of course,
said he,
We'll train them in the shepherd's life.
But when they grew and ran out free,
He'd always find some poor sheep dead,
And thus he learned it's seldom
wise
To let your heart defeat your
head.
MORAL: Too soft a heart can lead to disaster.
