12. A Greedy Lion Loses His Dinner

A ravenous lion found a rabbit asleep
And instantly planned to assail him,
So without even saying a Prayer Before Meals,
He opened his mouth to inhale him.

When, lo, in his sight a fat reindeer ran by
The first reindeer seen in this venue.
Ah, why have commonplace rabbit , said lion,
I'll try what is new on the menu.

But the deer got away. Oh, well, said the lion,
I guess I'll just have bunny chowder,
But when he came back very ready to eat,
The rabbit had taken a powder.
