THE BUFFALO'S BEATITUDES
Blessed are those of humble horn
for theirs is a Prairie of
Blessing.
Blessed are those of low-slung head,
for they shall find greens
and water.
Blessed are the meek & peaceful of hoof
for they shall be beloved,
Blessed are the thick-skinned & shaggy
for they shall be blankets
of warmth.
Blessed are the stew-makers
for they shall be much sought
after,
Blessed are the edible
for they shall see God.
Blessed are those who are pursued for hunger's sake
for they shall be called
gifts of the Most High.
Blessed are those of humble horn
for theirs is a Prairie of
Blessing.
