Thanks, but no thanks, O God, my God,
Enough's enough for me,
I've fur, fat, cubs, and fish to eat:
That's a sufficiency.

        You need not add a honeycomb,
        That most Amazing Grace,
        Enough's your breeze that cools my hide,
        Your sun that warms my face.

Some bears, you know, grow nine feet tall,
Weigh fifteen hundred pound,
While others are petite and quick;
But all of us are round. . .
        . . .Especially round when winter comes:
        We hunker down  and snore
        Through months of blizzards, ice and storm:
        Bleak weather: what a bore!

Come, God, and snuggle down with me
Here in my deepest den,
We'll snooze together till the world
Is bear-able again.#
