THE DRAGONFLY'S DEPRESSION
Ancient Wisdom every new!
behold, your creature feeling blue,
Depressed, disheartened, cheerless, down,
With somber eyes and joyless frown.
I'm born to fly and levitate
While in my arms I hold my mate,
She loves to soar adnd dive and race
For miles and miles in my embrace.
Instead, a gloom pervades my heart,
My energies refuse to start,
And why? No reason: just the weight
Of life and death and pain and fate.
Great God of life, your way is best,
I know at heart my life is blessed,
So I'll endure this night of gloom
Till morning flower start to bloom.
Meantime I'll keep faith undefiled
And hope - because I'm Wisdom's child -
For all the joy and inner glow
That flying dragons ought to know.
