THE LITTLE HEN'S HAIL MARY
Hail, Mary, full of grace,
The lord is not with thee!
He's in the castle counting eggs
Plundered all from me!
But, Holy Mary, blest you are,
YOU ARE HENS' CHOICE FOR
GOD!
The roosters name God "Mighty
Lord!"
A naming I find odd --
Were
God so mighty, those He loved
Would
never be this small,
But,
Mary, God-like, you've no might --
Except
to love us all.
Blest art thou among womankind
And each created thing,
And blest the fruit of your great Womb
In which we have our being.
Holy Mary, Mother God,
Do pray for all us sinners,
Or better, at the hour of
death,
Make all the least be winners.
With
your sweet femaleness on High,
All
femaleness is blessing,
And
feisty little hens like me
Will
find God less depressing.
