A JUNEBUG'S JUBILATION
Shout hooray, all Junebug folk!
have you heard (it's not a joke!)
We're the symbol of the Resurrection?
In an ancient pyramid
Where some royal mummies hid
Were images of us in carved perfection!
Why? It was the simple fact
We play dead when we're attacked,
Then we "rise again" when danger's passed!
"Scarab" is our family name,
Thus the charm is called the same,
Bringing luck and safety unsurpassed!
But, alas, those mummies lay
Dead as doornails in decay!
They'd no Easter Morn to cheer the grievers.
Still, to rapture we are drawn!
We give hope when hope is gone!
Buoying up the hearts of brave believers!
